Shola
Ama is one of Britain’s most
successful artists. Her debut album Much Love (97)
entered the UK charts at no.6 selling over 1 million
copies and scoring Shola the top singles, including
You Might Need Somebody and You’re the One
I Love to name a few.
The culmination of her critical and commercial success
resulted in four MOBO nominations with Shola going
on to collect two (Best Newcomer, Best R&B).
Throughout 97 Shola toured extensively across the
UK and was special guest to a whole host of artists
(Fugees, 3T, Jamiraquai). She also headlined the
98 Rhythm Nation tour featuring Glamma Kid, D-Influence
and Rasaan Patterson. The same year Shola was nominated
for two Brit Awards and went on to pick up the gong
for Best British Female, Two more albums and a baby
son soon followed, and these days Shola has founded
up her own production company Militia Music along
with her sister Sadie and their manager. She is
now back in the studio laying down some explosive
new tracks for her forthcoming album. |

STAR Ray Fearon
was the first black actor to play Othello on the
Royal Shakespeare Company's main stages in over
40 years. Having made numerous appearances in both
film and TV (The Bill, As If, Harry Potter and the
Philosopher’s Stone), the TV hearthorb currently
plays mechanic Nathan Harding in Britain’s
popular ITV soap Coronation Street. |

Morrison
A self-styled bad boy of British music, Mark topped
the UK charts in 1996 with Return of The Mack. FM
delivered a specialist pr service within the black
community for Mark's 2005 comeback album. |
